Hi All

Well leg going well still some pain but got tablets for that, have plaster of & inflaitable type on now that is good to shower with & to sit on chair, have had a few follow up's with local GP going to City next Monday week for another follow up, work is good to give me light duties to carry on with, crutches are a pain using them all the time but all helps, started doing upper body strength work to help with arms for crutches & keep me motivated only another 4 weeks to go hopefully!!

Greetings all

Well strange happenings at work last week, we had an employee roll a work car end for end & I was one of the mine rescue crew to attend the person was still in the car with the car laying on the drivers side I was the one to enter the car to make sure the patient was OK to be moved checking his spine & neck arms & legs all seemed OK apart from a sore thumb & bruising on his side he was good, retrieved him from the the car placed him on the stretcher for to be lowered to the ground & taken away to the hospital for a check over, upon all this being done I jump of the side of the car to the ground to assist felt a slight pain in right knee just thought getting old flagged off the area for HR to do their investigation on the crash knee felt worse latter that arvo got home & showered tried to sit on the toilet but knee too sore to get down thought must of hurt ligament on my rostered day off went to the doctors after lunch to be told I broke my leg just above the knee the doctor told me that he was calling the flying doctor to send me to the capital city hospital to get it repaired we only have a small hospital & one doctor, went home told work grabbed a bag of clothes & back up to the doctors to wait for the flying doctor to arrive, got to the city in good time Friday tea time was in bed leg had been plated & screwed plastered & in traction let out this morning but not in time to catch the corporate plane home spending the night at a friends place then catching the plane in the morning we only have the corporate plane that comes to my town twice a week but the new manager has decided to fly me back on an off day. hope to start work on modified duties Tuesday sometime after my investergation & see the local doctor to get the plaster off so I can go to the toilet. I bet I was not the best patient as I do not like sitting still for too often no having a sponge bath & where I live we do not lock our doors or cars but the city you have to tie every thing down, can't work city people out why they want to steel of other people.

greeting all

Have posted some pics of the town I live in & the golf course I play on or try to play on.

We are in a desert as you can see so the water is scarce  but we make the most of what we have.

I work 12 hour shifts & in the dark going to work & coming home this time of year & the sight of the moon this week has been awesome all week full moon to new moon bright orange when first rising with a bright red sun rise that follows very magical to see both full at the same time about 8 in the morning.

Hi All hope every one is well.

The weather is fantastic at this stage cool nights awesome day's great to be alive time, going to venture out for a game of golt today now that the fly's are few & the heat is gone.

Used my new webber yesterday leg of lamb salt mixed herbs & a drizzle of honey cooked slow for three hours, melt in your mouth.

Starting to get around a bit more now for walks & doing things in the shed not as hot & not swollowing fly's not as sticky.

Been trying some fish from the Easter trip they are great as well Whiting, Garfish have some salmon as well but will try them next break.

Well been away for our Easter fishing trip & all went well 6 people two boats always a good time to be had, fishing was slow compared to other years but we did catch a fair few we also tried beach fishing about 40 klm from our spot & caught a few salmon about a foot long, one of the people lost his wallet on the last day so a 30 min search was done of the camp grounds & nothing found the last he can remember using it was after his outboard caught fire & had to go 65 klm to town to get some parts but the wallet was found still in the tent when it was unwrapped at his place to clean.

lots of jokes & happy times will have to take my camera next trip.
